Transacting over 120,000 vehicles every year, Dealer Auction attracts over 5500 buyers and 1200 sellers. The role

Reporting to the CEO, this blend of hunting and farming will deliver the Dealer Auction sales pipeline, retain customers and grow market share.

The Person

You will be a strong leader, with a proven track record of managing customer facing teams in a commercial environment and exceeding targets. You will be an exceptional motivator, a strong communicator and have excellent stakeholder management skills.

This is a dynamic sales role where you will also have strong commercial acumen with financial responsibilities around costs and revenues.

So, what skills and experience are right for the role?

  • Experience of managing senior customer relationships across multiple sectors to maintain and grow revenue
  • Able to demonstrate your ability to lead, motivate and develop a successful sales and account management team
  • Evidence of sales planning, market opportunity analysis, opening doors and building pipelines
  • Support the development and achievement of appropriate sales targets commission structures and incentive plans that drive the right behaviours and results
  • Ability to define and deliver sales targets and KPI’s for the different disciplines within your team
  • Experience of implementing effective sales techniques to monitor performance and productivity
  • Proven track record of achieving new business development targets
  • Coaching and training skills that bring out the best version of your team and optimise results
  • Able to demonstrate market understanding and respond quickly to changing market conditions
  • Aptitude to assess the competitive landscape and recommend changes to the sales strategy to overcome any blockers to winning business
  • Develop sales presentations that set Dealer Auction apart from its competitors, using data and insight to support the proposition
  • Collaboration with marketing to produce a range of fruitful sales campaigns, generating awareness, leads and sales opportunities
  • Worked with and produced a budget, forecasting & taking accountability for revenue and costs
  • Experience of managing tenders and making pricing decisions
  • Confident to be an industry influencer, representing Dealer Auction at conferences, events and press
  • Ability to inspire and motivate senior stakeholders in Auto Trader and Cox Automotive and external sales teams to get the best coverage for Dealer Auction

Automotive sales experience is advantageous; however we welcome applicants with the ability to demonstrate a tenacious approach to industry learning coupled with outstanding sales results.
